I'm wondering if I could get some tips on checking a smart phone when buying it off craigslist or in situations where you likely won't see a seller after you part with your money.
I like my HTC desire (US cellular, CDMA) but am considering with going the pre-paid route, so need an unlocked smart phone with android.
Considering sticking with HTC.
When I first got my phone, it would randomly reboot, resulting in several returns. I thought may be my phone was a fluke, as I'm noticing that HTC's remain very popular and are normally highly rated and praised. I have since replaced my device through a US Cellular warranty and have not noticed any problems since.
However, as I will be switching phones, I'd like to know some quick ways I can test the phone that Im purchasing to make sure I'm not buying a lemon or a fake/knockoff.
