Im getting a new phone and they have a sale on iphones. Ive never used mac or an iphone but I heard they are great. I had an android before and the only compaint I had was it would randomly freeze and thats really annoying. Does the iphone do that as well?
The main thing I would be using it for is music and facebook. Is there a way to download free music on the iphone?
Also I dont have wireless internet at home does this effect anything with the either?
No phone out today should be "randomly freezing" on you. There was obviously something wrong with your old phone.
They both do Music and Facebook just fine. Wireless has nothing to do with anything.
FREE MUSIC? Um... I don't know. I use free music apps but it doesn't let me download the music.
Do you like to customize your phone? Android.
Not into that? Don't mind using iTunes? iPhone.
Simple.
It comes down to personal preference really. I own an Android and love it. I know several people who own iPhones and love them. I would go to a store and play around with the display models.
For free music, you can download an of the streaming players, Slacker Radio, Last FM, Pandora, etc. and use them on the phone. Only thing to remember is that you need to have service for the music to keep streaming. It will stop if you hit a dead zone.
I personally have switched from iTunes over to Google Music because I think it's a better model.
With Android, I would recommend getting a Galaxy Nexus, the HTC One X or the Samsung Galaxy S3 when it is released. I prefer a pure Google experience so that's why I got a Galaxy Nexus, no manufacturer's skin layered on top of Android.
I bought and iPhone based on the feel, quality size and other factors unrelated to performance. I knew it was a good perfoming phone. I have heard that the androids are a little bit harder to figure out.
I could've gone either way. I love my iPhone and my daughter loves her Android.
Free music? Semi free with the Pandora app. I opted to pay $4 a month to avoid the ads.
Having wireless internet at home is nice, because you won't be using data when on wifi at home.
I have heard that the androids are a little bit harder to figure out.
That's not true at all and is a myth perpetuated by the iPhone faithful.
Speaking neutrally, both types of phones are not even a little hard to figure out.
They both JUST WORK, if you just want a phone to email, txt, Facebook, listen to music.
I agree with going to the store and playing with both.
Also I dont have wireless internet at home does this effect anything with the either?
This means you every time you access an internet page at home it will count on your monthly data plan. I recommend looking at a phone with unlimited internet (like the Virgin Mobile Motorola Triumph Android phone,$188 on the Walmart website)
The current Iphone 4s is having charging issues. Either wait for the next version or get Motorola Droid. Loading music onto a Droid is much easier as you can simply copy of your computer without any hassles. FB on the other hand loads faster on an Iphone than a Droid.
