My generation seems to be glued to their damn cell phones. I have friends I don't even hang out with anymore, because every time we do, their nose is in their phone the whole time and they don't pay attention to anything else...Even while driving.

They have their Facebooks and Twitters and whatever else set to alert their phone every time they get an update. They update their location and check in everywhere they go.

I do not understand this lifestyle. Somebody explain it to this lost 23 year old.

i was like the last smartphone holdout amongst my friends always annoyed me when everyone was glued to their phone now i am lol.

im not nearly as bad as the average person and i often get annoyed when you cant have a convo with someone and hve them look you in the eye whole convo they are looking at their phone screen.

its nothing new, as someone said its been discussed ad nauseum. basically anytime you have 2 seconds of downtime rather than look out a window or daydream you can play a game, check email shop on the app store, etc.

i run an online business so im checking email and stuff all the time but dont think im as bad as most. ya its annoying what ru gonna do about it short of buying one of those cell phone blockers for like $100 and carrying it around with u

We have a friend that does the same all the time. He's 38 . We don't hang out much lately.

And yeah... ad nauseum

My roommate is the worst. She seriously has an addiction to her phone and social networking. It's annoying when you can't hang out with someone without them constantly texting, tweeting, facebook'ing, etc.

IMO it's very easy to be addicted to be 'connected'. Sometimes I just leave mine at home and appreciate the feeling of not having it. Of course there is always those who will say hey, I rang you and you didn't answer.. oh well!
