I am considering an upgrade from my iPhone 4 to a Droid Razr Maxx. I've been reading reviews on the phone and have seen more positive than negative comments on the phone. I don't want the iPhone 5 because of all of the complaints that I've heard about it - and it doesn't run 4G.

I like the idea of having a better battery life; I do a lot on Facebook, reading the news, and email so that definitely perked my ears. I also like the fact that it's bigger than the iPhone 4, I'm 6'3 and so having a bigger phone would be awesome, and better to handle.

Anyone out there in C-D land have the Razr Maxx? Pros? Cons?

Don't have a Maxx, but the iphone5 does run 4g. If you want an android I would wait till the new Razr HD maxx's come out, even if you don't need them theyll probably drop the price of the Razr Maxx.

If battery life is important, the Razr's are unmatched. If you want a good map experience, Androids are unmatched.

As jdm2008 indicated, the iPhone5 does run 4g. However, the iPhone5 only supports simultaneous voice and data on AT&T. Android phones do not have this limitation.

I use the original Droid Razr and it is an extremely solid performing phone. I agree that it might be worth waiting for the DROID Razr HD maxx model or wait for the price drop on the original Droid Razr Maxx.

Does anyone know when the HD Maxx is coming out? I'm due for an upgrade in April 2013.

It will be out well before then(some say before thanksgiving but who knows), along with probably alot of other phones. In April there will probably be completely different choices.

I went from an Android to an iPhone 4s due to the pocketability and build quality of the iPhone, but once my own contract is up, I too will probably go back to Android. If anything, the ios6 issues along with some purple flaring in the iPhone 5 camera turn me off.

Personally, I'd wait until next month when that Maxx HD comes out and wait on some reviews and check it out, as right now it's on my radar as well. Keep in mind that cell phone generations are short though - by the time April hits, there are bound to be even a few more on the market that we haven't heard of yet that might peak your interest.

I have a RAZR Maxx. I love it and ever since they finally upgraded to ICS it's even better. Battery life is second to none and the speeds are insanely fast. The only downside I have had is every once in a blue the phone restarts. That only started happening after the ICS upgrade.

I agree with others to wait for the RAZR Maxx HD which is due out next month.

The RAZR Maxx is what I had initially wanted in the first place - mainly because of the battery life. However, I'm still using my standard "dumb" phone and OK with it for awhile. I'm in no need to rush out and increase my cellphone bill any time soon until I know the phone is worth it.
