Okay, I've been searching this forum but still not quite sure what my best option is. Here's my situation,
I currently have a droid X with Verizon unlimited everything and I pay about $106 after tax per month.

My plan will be up soon and I'm trying to lower my bill. I think I need to stay with Verizon due to the coverage area Northern CA. I was previously with AT&T and often never got a signal where I lived.

I need unlimited talk but I don't use that much data or text. I know Verizon offers prepay plan but it looks like it's only on certain phones. Could I go prepaid on my Droid X? Is there any other alternatives that would work besides Verizon? Remember I need good coverage so I think AT&T and Sprint are out of the question.

I just discovered page plus, the pre paid rates look good and the coverage looks just like Verizon's. Any thoughts on this?

I have Verizon, using the share everything plan. Gives you unlimited minutes and messaging. If you use 2gb or less a month, it'd run you about $100/mo before tax. Not saving much, but you get unlimited talk time.

Yes but pageplus is the same plan form about half the cost.

2GB is $90 I think.

Yea and PagePlus covers like a third of the area. Don't mind dropped calls? Get PagePlus.

Pageplus coverage map is the same as Verizon Prepaid coverage which looks the same as regular Verizon coverage for my location.

I've been doing the same kind of research only I'm coming from Sprint. And it's a PITA to get my HTC EVO to work on a PagePlus/Verizon network. My point is, I've heard good things about PagePlus.
