I have an HTC Inspire and sometimes when I power off, the four physical button lights remain on. (The buttons for Home, Menu, Back and Search.) It's happening more since I just upgraded to 2.3.5. Sometimes they stay on for a few seconds, but last night they stayed on for two minutes so I redid it and they went off. Why would they stay on if the power's off??
I found some threads of people with similar problems with diff phones. But their problems are mostly that the lights stay lit when the phone is on.
There may be a way to change it but requires rooting or other weird things.
hrm. That is part of the shut down process, so there is a chance its clearing or saving some logs that are in the phone for background processes. So while the main functionality of the phone is 'off' its remaining dormant in the background until it finishes some of those idle processes.
More crappy programming by Android devs.
What might work is if you do a factory reset of your device. Dont forget to back up before doing so.
