...and MMS message?

I sent both during my senior year, probably in 2005. I was late to the game.

First text was possibly in 2001 (at 10 cents per message), but it was probably 2003-4 before I got a text/MMS plan. My primary use was using MMS to e-mail my camera phone pictures to myself.

I had my first cell phone in 1998, but not too sure if I actually sent a text message before 2003. My first phone was a Nextel, so I always used the "beep" walkie-talkie feature until I got a different phone in 2003.

Texting celebrates 20th birthday: HB2U! - NY Daily News

yeah texting craze in US came waaaaay later. if u read the link philippines was mentioned. i even read that we were the texting capital of the world coz that's how crazy we were in texting in the 90s... and nokia made loads of money on us. nokia was our iphone/android back then. yes they have phone cams and we send pics and all that.

http://blogs.wsj.com/tech-europe/201...h-anniversary/

nokia dominated phone sales in my country i dont think they even have competition coz i swear everyone owned/used nokia nothing else.
