Question for iPhone users as I don't have one around to tinker with right now but I'm trying to figure out how to set something up for a relative and a coworker.
I found out that you can set up an iPhone so that it uses the phone's flash to blink rapidly twice when you miss a text, etc. Apparently, this feature was originally set up for the hearing impaired, and is accessed through Settings: General: Accessiblity: LED Flash for Alerts.
The problem - the moment you get a text, it will cause your flash to blink rapidly twice. Then a few minutes later when the iPhone gives you one reminder that you missed something, the flash will blink twice again, and then, that's it. It does not continue to blink every few minutes after that... just when the initial message comes in, and once when it reminds you after a few minutes. I can see where this would help the hearing impaired, but not others who might leave their phone in another room and come in later.
Is there a setting buried in the Settings where you can tell the phone to "keep reminding" more than one time if you miss a text, that might cause the flash to continue blinking even if it's just every few minutes, until you check the messages?
Ok, thanks. I know that neither of these people would be willing to jailbreak their phones and void their warranties, so I'll simply tell them there's no way to do it.
