So I mentioned my coverage is poor in central OC, CA.

So I call 611 for help on my headset.............wait now I can no longer do that. I have to tap through several screens to be able to complete my call to customer service WTF are you thinking idiots at Verizon.

Now instead of making it safer for me to drive and talk on my bluetooth you have made it impossible. When I need help I have to pull over for 3-5 minutes and tap blah blah...............I pay $90 ( with a corp disc no less ) for this crap

Does anyone know if Sprint pulls this BS? VZ supposed to be Tier 1, US based support, most $$$ and now when I need you dump to some sell service menu.

Typical Corp America.........cheap, short sided, and will cost you business.

If you need your data stream to provide consistent and reliable speeds, I would not recommend Sprint. Their network is basically at capacity. I've experienced 4G speeds anywhere from 27mbps on down to 600kbps; 3G speeds as slow as 20kbps. As in, slower than a 1990s-era dial-up modem.

I am an outside sales professional. I spend good money on tech and services because it's what's expected of me. When I pay Tier 1 prices I expect Tier 1 service and support.

I am not playing Angry Birds this is tool for business to generate revenue.

And both CSR's at VZ said under the breath they don't like it either and agree it's a safety issue.

Thanks for the cons on Sprint.

It's the same story here in Atlanta too with sprint. LTE speeds range from 30-31 mbps down to 80 or 90 kbps. It's very unreliable. I'm hoping with this infusion of cash with the Softbank merger, Sprint will able to flesh out their data network pretty soon.

I have nothing but praise with Sprint's customer service but their data network for sure leaves something to be desired.

Yeah, I should point out these are LTE speeds. I wouldn't even bother with a WiMax 4G phone on the Sprint network as they are essentially abandoning their Wimax network.

Let's see if we have a cheap, "short sided" corporation, a failing piece of hardware/software or a an ignorant, lazy consumer.

Did this occur with 611 on-screen enabled or disabled? If you had it enabled, well then... If you had it disabled, then something is broken or Verizon is up to no good.

It really depends on where you are. Works fine in the NY Metro area. 4G around 8mbps-30 mbps. 3g is .5mbps-1.5mbps. Verizon's 3g is consistently faster around here.

Sprint doesn't sell WIMAX phones anymore so I don't think it's even an option for the OP. Wimax was a huge success for Sprint and we should see the benefits in their new LTE network.
