If i download Firefox, will it eat away at my data usage?
The browser only uses the amount of data that you tell it to. If you go to google.com in chrome it'll take the same amount of data as it would in firefox.

When you're looking at which browser to use on your phone, compare simplicity, size, and speed of the installed app, with how much you'll want it to be synchronized with your primary computers browser.
I love Firefox, so I don't know about the others, but I know you can have Firefox synchronize your Favorites, saved passwords, auto-fill ins, etc, so that you can jump from desktop, to laptop, to tablet, to phone, and it looks to you like it's all the same Firefox.
(Just be careful with security for the portable version - saved passwords and such)
So, you can download Firefox as a browser on your phone?
You just don't have to use Chrome?
Forgive me, I'm pretty ignorant to all this
We use Dolphin. We find it to be the closest to using a browser on a PC. There is a learning curve and I highly recommend reading through the help and the settings menus. Download Dolphin Jetpack as well as Dolphin.

Be careful about using synch in FF. We had tons of trouble with it ignoring the password to get in. I finally gave up and dumped it as I was spending too much time trying to find help in getting it resolved. After 25 plus years of computing, both privately and professionally, I have reached the point where if a program takes that much work, or the help available is thin or not correct, I move on to something that works.
Others use it and love it. I have no answer to why we got crapped on.
