I'm thinking of getting one.
This is a model made especially for "seniors" - it does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but has the basic features.
Jitterbug also has a model with a camera.
wondered how they perform.

They seem a little expensive for what they are. You may be better off buying a cheap flip phone off of Amazon and putting on a $35/month unlimited call and text plan from T-Mobile.

I looked into the jitterbug. Found the phones to be overpriced and I think calls were .30 a minute. It is post paid, meaning, give your SS# for a credit check and your credit card # for monthly billing. I went to Walmart and bought a Samsung T-139 flip phone for $22 [sim card and bat charger included] with pre pay T-Mobile $3 a month for 30 minutes plan. Put money in your account and $3 is withdrawn every month plus any calls over 30 minutes at .10 a minute. When the account balance draws down, add more money. $36 would be good for a year if you didn't go over 30 minutes a month.
The only good thing with jitterbug is that they have a 'emergency alert' phone service if that's something you think you might need. But of course, there's cost to that option.
