I average around 8gb. On some months when I travel a lot, it can be as high as 12gb. I rarely use Wifi. My phone's connection is actually faster than my cable modem.
I pay for up to 3.0G but I only use about 2.4G each billing period. I only stream video or audio a little. Mostly Wikipedia and email.
If you go over the alotted amount, can you get no data at all until the next billing period, or can you use it but have to pay more?
I have 500 MB's I use more or less 250MB, some times it goes to the limit. If I bring my daughter to dance then I am hanging on my phone till she finish. My phone blocks internet access when 450 MB reached so I am not going over the limit, if you are over the limit you can use it but look at the web site of your provider for the extra charges.
Roughly 20GB a month. I don't live in the US, but I'll probably return next year. I'm not sure which US carrier (if any) would allow me to use that much data for under $100.
Suppose you stream a video for an hour. How much data would that be on your bill?
This depends upon the source and the quality of the video.
One well known example is Netflix:
Ultra HD would be 7+ GB, HD would be 3 GB, Low would be a few hundred MB.
