I have 2 Verizon Wireless I phone 4s phones with unlimited data.
Attempting to order a new I phone 6 for my wife online and its telling me I can't have unlimited data anymore.
They say its $30 a month just for 2 GB? Now if I order one as well will I also have to pay $30 per month for my phone? Or does the $30 cover both phones usage on the 700 minute family plan?

You could pay full price for the phone.
Data is shared. You pay some small fee to add a second line.

If you go with a two year contract, you will pay $40 per line (unlimited talk and text) plus the data charge of $30 for two gigs. $110 total. However, since you have one paid off phone you get a $15 savings, so it will be $95 per month. What is your monthly bill now and how much data do you guys use?
Like others have said, buy a new phone for your wife and you can keep your old plan.

Our phone bill is $170.00 for 2 iPhone 4s phones. We only use 1.5 gb per month or less.
So basically you're saying I should buy the I phone 6 for full price $700, and then I can keep my plan?

As long as you don't buy a new phone from them and make payments you will / should be able to keep your unlimited, so yes that is an option. You can also buy a cheaper phone.

Yes. If you want to keep your plan. But it appears you can save a lot of money if you drop your unlimited data plan.
You may want to consider dropping your $170 a month plan and get a iPhone 6 for $200 on a two year contract and only pay $95 a month for a 2 gig plan with unlimited text and talk ($30 for data and $40 for your wife's line and $25 for your line). That is a savings of $75 per month!

I was also grandfathered in with the full free data. Any change to my plan would result in losing it as a condition of keeping it. I replaced my phone every two years and kept the unlimited data intact. When my youngest moved out and decided to get his own account, that was a change to the plan, from 4 phones to 3, so I lost it. Maybe now a new phone is considered a plan change so they can get rid of the last unlimited people like you. As it happens the 5GB I have now is more than enough, I average about 3.5GB.
