Forgetting a network just means it won't connect to it automatically when in range. It will still show up as an available WiFi network once you forget it. To re-connect to it you do the same as you originally did.
When you scan for a WiFi, find a network, select Connect, and your phone connects, it remembers the connection details (including the fact that you have identified the network as one you feel OK connecting with), so the next time it can do it faster, automatically.
If you select Forget, that information is deleted.
Like Mr Geek said, the next time, just select Scan, (or let the autoscan work), and the 'forgotten' network should show up as a potential connection, just like the first time.
