Hi,

Some background-
I have my roadrunner email linked to my iPhone 6.
If I open an email 1st on my iPhone and delete- it does not come to my Mac.
But- if I open it first on my Mac and delete- it still comes to my iPhone.

I have noticed with my iPhone 6 (and not my Mac) that after 1 month exactly- my emails disappear from my inbox- it does not go to any subfolder. I have checked all.
I checked all my settings on my phone and also went over with Apple on the phone. There is nothing there to be making this happen.
He suggested it is a setting in my webmail with roadrunner (TWC).
I am also way under the limit of what is allowed on roadrunner.

I went online to my roadrunner webmail acct. and do not see any settings there either to be making this happen.

I hope someone can help!
Thank you!

How is your mac configured, vs your phone? Sounds like the mac might be using POP3 and leaving the messages on the server, while the iPhone is set up to use IMAP. This could also explain your disappearing message problem. Your desktop e-mail client might be configured to delete messages off the server after a month.

The solution is probably as simple as just updating your desktop client to use IMAP.

Thank you! I found under my Mac mail settings a box that was checked for 30 days. I unchecked the box. We will see what happens in 2 days when one of my iPhone emails will be at that point.
