I want to buy a new cell phone to replace the Samsung B5310 I have now. I want one that has a feature where if I block a phone number, I don't get a pop-up message saying "number has just been rejected" whenever the rejected caller calls me. Will an iPhone and/or one of the other commonly available phones have this feature?

Yes, I have an iPhone and I frequently block telemarketer numbers. I never get a notification that it's been rejected. They just are rejected!

Sprint allows you to block numbers on your account (rather than device). I took a quick look at Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile... couldn't find it in less than a few seconds.

Verizon does as well, but we rarely use it as our phones just dump the calls without notifying us.

iPhone allows blocking. You get no notification when blocked callers try to text or call you. I have a long list of blocked numbers.

Thanks for the replies! Do the rejected calls show up in the logs, in the iPhone, for example?

Nope. You will never know how often or when they've tried to call.

On the iPhone, they truly are blocked. They will not bother you.

My Samsung Note 4 has a reject list. I don't see the calls in the call log at all.
