I had been noticing it for the last few days. Someone has been using my data. At home I am on wifi but when I go out I use data. I only have a limit of 1 GB outside; so i have to be a bit careful.
Yesterday was the limit! I only used google maps for 4 minutes (I kept track) and it gobbled up 85 MB of the data! How do I go about this situation?
Please help me out. I would really appreciate it. I use iPhone.

Highly unlikely that someone else is using your data. Check the data usage for your apps on the phone to see where it's going.

Make sure you do not have the share internet function on but I doubt it is that.

I don't think other people can use your data, but I guess anything is possible these days.

Google Maps uses a lot of 4G/LTE data. Keep an eye on background tasks and disable them if necessary.

That's impossible unless someone has managed to hack your phone.

You either have a rogue app using data and you don't realize it or your GSP is using more than you think. GPS could easily eat up 1gb on a trip.

Have to see which app is using it. It's impossible that google maps could have used 85 mb for 4 mins!

Background syncing can also eat up a significant amount of data. Make sure you aren't allowing automatic app updates too.

^^ This!

Go the settings of your phone and turn off automatic updates. This should help.

-Cheers.
