If I answer the question, the resulting conversation would end up being something I'm not interested in. There was no cheaper phones available that did what we wanted, other than Windows Phones, or Android phones with older OSes on them. I wasn't interested in those. The iPhone we bought, was an older 5c, but it runs the latest iOS just fine, and was the exact replacement for the phone my daughter broke. We're satisfied, and that's that. I'm not interested in a features war.
