Cheaper than a battery might be a power pack. My son has an iPhone 5. When he goes tent camping for a weekend, he takes 2 power packs to keep the phone powered for music, snap chatting, texting, etc.

Yeah I thought about that. I actually got one of those for a gift a while back but returned it. I don't want to carry that thing with me all the time.

Yeah, battery packs do help, but then you have to deal with keeping them charged, and hauling around extra paraphernalia.

Having a new battery just simplifies things and you'll feel sort of like it's a new iPhone. I mean, it just seems like everything works better.

But, YMMV.
