I'm wondering how can someone do that? When I answer, they hang up. Caller ID shows my first initial and last name and my phone number.

The first initial and last name is probably how you have your own contact stored in your phone.

Spoofing a caller ID is super easy. My business phone system will allow me to set any outgoing phone number and name that I want, so it wouldn't be hard at all to make outgoing calls look like they are coming from the number being dialed.

Happens to me too. Spoofing. Today I was in my car when my bluetooth showed my phone supposedly called myself in the car. I rejected the call, and I was not insulted by the rejection.
