I often see the updating icon (two round arrows) appear at the top and I'm not sure what's being updated.
Is there a log or app that will tell you later, what was getting updated?

Not sure because you're still on that older version of Android. If they are Play store apps, and you go into the Play Store it will tell you what was just updated.
Sounds to me like those might be carrier updates. How often do you get them?

Every few days but they only last a second. Maybe it's the weather app or Facebook.

I think it must be any app that used to get the update automatically. You can also turn it off so that you will not get that icon.

How would you turn off the notification icon (the two round arrows) without stopping updates?

I actually got a different phone since I started this thread. Would like to know anyway.

Robert... you had the oldest Android phone of anyone here I'm pretty sure. Most of us have no idea the icon you're talking about because it has been changed in subsequent updates.
