Anyone here a part of the Assurance Wireless program, receiving a free phone, minutes, texting, and internet? Is the plan worth it, are the phones good? What are your experiences?

So you're wanting to get a free phone with free services and you're wondering if it's worth what it costs?

Buy a used Nexus 4 or 5 and sign up with consumer cellular, depending on what you need it can be $10 a month. I pay $30 for cell, data, and text.

But is that cell, text, and data UNLIMITED? I don't want minutes or only this amount of texts used etc.

No, as I don't need unlimited. If you want unlimited you're going to have to pay for it. My GF has a Straight Talk unlimited plan for $45 a month.

Are you sure you even NEED unlimited? A lot of people think they do, then find out they really don't use that much at all.

I'd rather go with unlimited to be on the safe side, better safe than sorry.
