I had a BMW before and my Asus Zenphone 2 64 paired just fine, contacts and all, then I got an Acura and the phone works Bluetooth but does not pair the contacts and say the phone is not compatible, so why would it be compatible with a BMW and not with an Acura? and what can be done to make it compatible?
A foreign phone? An Asus Zenfone is a foreign phone? If you're Googleing that, I'm not surprised you're having trouble finding answers.
What is NOT a foreign phone? A Samsung Galaxy, that's made in Korea? An LG? Also Korean. Motorola? Made in China. Sony? Japan. Asus makes the Zenfone and sells it here....just like everyone else does. Asus is every bit as reputable as the others.
Carriers don't sell the Zenfone directly, maybe that's what you mean?
In any event it's quite obvious to me that the car is the problem...not the phone. It worked in the BMW perfectly fine, yes? Now it doesn't work. Hmmm. What changed? You bought a new car.

(p.s. Don't call it a foreign phone when you post over there. )
I bought this phone in the Philippines and use it there when we are there yearly. When I go to About on the phone, then go to regulatory information, it says Asus ZOOAD Made in China, European Union, India, Russia, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, so I say foreign phone because it was apparently not made for the US market.
Thank you for the link, I will go over there and read to see if anyone else is having the same problem and if not then ask about the issue. I was hoping that an app might solve the issue, I already did an update. it has bluetooth version V10.00.01
That's why it is considered an "unlocked phone". Asus didn't specifically make it for any market. They built it and put in certain radios so you can use it on (almost) any carrier around the world.
Just not Verizon...
Good luck! Bluetooth can be a bit wonky in certain cars. I'm sure it isn't the phone itself.
