I have a LG Optimus Zone 3 (Verizon LTE Prepaid) smartphone. I've had it for a year and two months. About a month ago people would call me, but I wouldn't be able to hear them unless I put it on speaker. If I called them the same problem. Tonight I put headphones in and all of a sudden I could hear calls and make them without speaker on. What is going on? Can I try something that lets me hear and make calls without my headphones in and without putting speaker on?

Also other small issues have been happening as well. If I text someone it takes a minute or two for it to send. Also the texting system will sometimes freeze, and I will have to completely get out of it then back again so it will work.

My warranty is expired so I cant send it back. With all these problems do I need a new phone or can they be fixed?

Yeah a new phone is your only option outside of a costly repair.

i've repaired a usb charging port for my last cellular-telefone at the mall kiosk for like $45 bucks. i would assume replacing a small speaker would be a similar process.

Prepaid phones are cheap - just get a new one. The Moto G4 is on sale for 39 dollars all over the place, sometimes its less than that, and it is a much better phone than what you now have. I used an LG Transpyre the past 2 years, bought for $29 Black Friday 2015, its a decent phone also.
