I just bought a pixel 2xl, and since the battery is not removable I want to maximize the life before I need to change it out(if it's even feasible), I have a Anker PowerCore II 6700. The OEM charger that came with teh phone says Power delivery 2.0. The powercore II 6700(this is a 1 says not compatabile with this. Is this an issue? What are the consequences of using the powercore 6700 besides a slower charge. I'm worried about preserving the phone battery not speed of charge.

The Anker is just a dumb charger that will work with any phone. Who told you it won't work with the Pixel? There are no consequences.

Check into an app called Ampere. It will tell you the actual rate of charge and discharge. You can then tell if your charger is giving you the mAh that's it supposed to. Slow charging will not extend the life of the battery.

If you want to maximize the life the battery, a one amp charger is better than a two amp one. Fast chargers shorten the life of your battery. Mrs5150 found that out the hard way..And don’t keep topping off the battery. Let it get to less than 40%. Lithium batteries have a X number of charge/discharge cycles before battery health begins to drop. Topping off a battery at 80% to 100% is a charge cycle just like charging a battery from 25% to 100% is one charge cycle
