Do apps still update even though they're disabled?

You would get more helpful responses if you provided information on your device. At a minimum, Apple vs Android vs MS Windows, as these all work differently.

He's talking about Android because you can't really 'disable' apps on the other 2 platforms. Because he specifically used thatterm, this is my assumption. You can turn off data access for iOS apps, but not truly 'disable' them.

In Android, you can turn off auto update of apps, it's in play store settings.

Individual apps may also check for updates on their own and in most cases you can disable that as well.

"Built in" apps many of which are actually bloatware can be disabled but not uninstalled unless you root your device.

I see this on my phone which is unlocked but branded AT&T.

I know all this. I'm just saying he specifically said "disabled" which leads me to believe he has gone into SETTINGS and disabled some apps which is very common on Android phones.

Bet ya' $5 I'm right.

You would have won the $5. I didn't give info about my phone because I thought it was a generic question but it's an LG Rebel LTE
