A new lightening cord is keeping my 5S alive and kicking. I saw the XR up close & personal & wasn't impressed; I like the 8 plus much better but have anxiety about the processer being 2 years behind. This fear has led me to investigate the 11. Thoughts?

What is the "11"?

Apple has the 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, XR, XS, XS Max for sale. Do you mean the XS?

I have a year-old X after getting my wife an XS Max. I'm happy with the X, and imagine the XS is just more of the same.

I will go out on a limb. I suspect the OP is talking about waiting for the next model iPhone that hasn't been announced yet.

You could get a used iPhone SE for about $150 USD.
A bit faster and supports Apple Pay (which I really like).

Thanks, you’re probably right. There have been apparent leaks which basically say it’s similar to the current generation.

Given the incentives right now for the XR or XS it’s a good time to trade up.

It has the internals of a 6S - the 7 or 8 refurb or used in Excellent condition will have a longer life.

It's tentatively Iphone 2019 or the 11. Since this is the money then I want the fastest processor because I will be holding onto the phone as I'm not a trader. Looks like the only real upgrade is going to be the chip from the rumors.

Isn't it same size as my 5S? I need plus size screen.

ya gotta jump into the river at some point. I. can see us having this conversation in two years as you hold out for the 13 The fact your 5s still works is a testament to the build quality of Apple.
But it will die some day. Best to replace before that happens

The X I have (iPhone 9?) still has a faster CPU than today’s flagship Android. I wouldn’t stress about it.
