We have the Samsung Note 10+ and love it. No major qualms with the phone. We switched to Samsung about a year ago from Apple and have no intentions of going back to Apple.

With that said, we are hoping to get new laptops soon. Is there a laptop that syncs messages from the Note10 -- similar to the iMessage feature in Apple? All we know is the Telegram app and that may be a solution but it only works with those who use Telegram.

Any options out there that don't require a 3rd party app that would sync messages and would allow a response regardless of device or am I dreaming?

It's not the laptop that you need, it's a better texting app.

Googles Text Message app, works on all Android smartphones, does what you want.

I don't know of any Android primary program that does what you'll want. You need to look at 3rd party apps.

I use and love Pushbullet. I installed it in my Samsung phone, Samsung tablet, and the Windows program in my PC.
When I get a text to the phone, all three display it, and any reply in any device is mirrored to the others.
Also, I can transfer files or clipboard pastes from any to any other. I've been paying them $5/month for over two years and still like it.

I believe "primary" is referring to a pre-installed application/feature on the phone.

How do these work, not just on an Android cell & tablet, but ALSO on a laptop, as the OP requested?

If you use chrome, you can add Mightytext. You put Mightytext on your android phone, and then install the chrome extension on your chrome brosswer on the PC.

I use it all the time.

You are limited to 100 messages done on the PC per month unless you pay. But, I never go over that. On the computer - there is also an add on the right side of the screen, unless you pay.

It is nice to be able to type long messages on a computer. And, if my phone is somewhere else in the house - but I am at my computer - I get notice of a text, and I can just reply right there
