problems with iphone (3G, itunes, disable, update)

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone can help. My iphone has suddenly stopped working. Ok, its the screen I cant get past the password. The screen is there, with all the icons, but it just wont type the password or even if I slide the arrow ; it wont go.

any ideas ; I did try to turn it on and off but that wont go either. I have called it but it wont ring.

Have you tried these other steps that Apple recommends?

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

1. Press and hold the Home button below the screen for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

It's a good idea to turn it completely off every couple of days. I was having the same problems before I started doing that.

Also check for updates.

Every so often mine needs to be rebooted (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time.)

my iphone 3g wiifi does not work,what can i do to correct this problem.

Go to settings, turn on airplane mode, then turn it back off. That will basically stop all network connections then restart them. If that doesn't work try a reset - hold down the power button for ten seconds or so until you get a prompt near the top of the screen to slide a bar to power off. Wait about 15 seconds, then start it back up. The phone will reboot and that should solve the problem, assuming you have wifi turned on.
