Asus and Foxconn, both headquartered in Taiwan have plants in mainland China (as well as other countries). Hard to find a cell phone that does not have parts (in fact a lot of parts) made in China.
Or the underlying minerals that make up the parts. To exit China and any need for China would take years if not decades for a company like Apple.
Good luck trying to find a brand that contains zero parts or labor from China.
Products out of China can be junk or they can be excellent; it all depends on the specs. So if your "Made in China" product is garbage blame the brand, not the manufacturer.
With that, I will not purchase any handset from a Chinese company and it has nothing to do with CoVid-19 conspiracies. I did own an HTC back in the day, which begs the question: is Taiwan a part of China or not. But at least they fight for independence. Other than that I was a hardcore crackberry addict (BlackBerry) and have also used iPhone, Pixel, Sony and an LG.
Damn I didn't know google's pixel is made in China
