Anyone using a cell phone carrier who provides your household internet? Can you stream TV shows/movies, use Zoom, video game?
I've never heard of this but it's been suggested on other threads here. Anyone with a big family able to stream 2 separate TV's at the same time?
We currently use cable, but at our new home can only get dish type TV, satellite internet and landline phone service through CenturyLink. I'm researching which one will provide the best internet. Thanks

I don't use such as a service, but I am aware of it. I can only speak for At&t and Verizon as they provide home internet service in select markets nationwide. I don't know if T-mobile or Sprint has or ever had such a service. I can view TV/movies/internet videos from my cell phone and then "cast" them to my smart TV.

When the power goes out (we live in a rural area) and suddenly no wifi, then cell data does the job. Hot spot to ipad. Streaming works great! Not to tv, but to iPad or tablet

So yea, cell phone carrier can do the job

You can check and see if T-Mobile for $50 a month is available in your location

https://www.t-mobile.com/isp

You may find just getting phone service for every member of your family and using hotspot data is functional, but I think the Home Internet Service is more ideal. There are always data caps on Hotspot service, but there are "No Data Caps" on home internet.

Verizon and AT&T offer similar services, but at higher prices.

It certainly beats Century Link.

As with the other cellular providers, it appears that T-Mobile's home internet is also in limited markets.

Thank you, Verizon is the only carrier servicing our area. They have a WiFi jet pack (?) I'd rather a hardwired modem through the cellular carrier if one were available. Do other carriers offer an actual modem for household internet, without data caps?
I clicked on the T mobile link you sent and it appears to be a modem or router that can be used for everthing including video gaming. Verizon offered us only a WiFi jet pack, which I assume is just a hot spot?

They are essentially the same. Hot spot is considered a "feature" while jetpack is a "device".

Some Jetpack devices have USB-Tethered Mode where the micro USB or USB-C cable that came with the Jetpack and a wired to a compatible device. USB-C will allow data rates in the gbs.
