Mexico Unlimited
With the Mexico Unlimited add-on from Metro by T-Mobile you get:

Unlimited calling to and from Mexico
Unlimited data in Mexico at 5Mbps
Unlimited texting in Mexico
Mexico Unlimited add-on cost: $5/month
I have a Metro by T-Mobile $50 / month that give me unlimited voice/text/data. The data speeds vary, but I have read independent test on Metro by T-Mobile where the average download speed was 18.8 Mbps, and the average upload speed was 1.13 Mbps.

I am expecting to spend a few months in Mexico. Is 5 Mbps going to be fast enough to watch videos? Will Netflix and Youtube work in Mexico? Google search yields tthe following statements, but can anyone share some real life results?

To watch YouTube in HD, 720p videos require a minimum of 2.5 Mbps.
Amazon Prime videos need a bandwidth of 3.5 Mbps to upgrade the picture quality to HD.

I don’t know why some people ask a question on the internet then answer their own question when they post their question. See above post.

With that said, I've streamed Netflix HD (the only level I have) videos at under 2 megs. The only issue was waiting for the video to load.

I am on Verizon

I don’t know if it matters, but it might; the phone I used to stream with using such a slow data speed was an iPhone

Because, if you meet required minimums often it "works" but the experience is severely lacking. For instance it might take a minute to load a new video. It "works" but it is very unpleasant.

That is the whole purpose of soliciting other people's experiences.

My opinion, then explained why by the OP. Made sense. I gave useful info with my post. How about you? Can you tell the OP your experience streaming at under five megs?

You didn’t answer my question. Staying that it’s your opinion doesn’t answer why you felt compelled to make the rude statement (It was a statement, not a question).

The OP answering, with something you didn’t expect, made him look good, and you .
