Here's me, looking for a cell phone. My last cell phone was a flip phone. Now spouse & I share an Android -- but I'm needing a cell phone of my own.
Here's my laundry list:
--uncomplicated
--big display for my aging eyes and good-sized keyboard for my fat fingers to text
--inexpensive (relatively)
--used mostly for calls/texting/directions -- don't need (or want) a lot of bells & whistles...
When you select a phone you should ask TracFone if it is compatible. As long as the phone is not locked to a different carrier, shouldn't be a problem. Make certain that the phone supports 4G LTE/VOLTE. 5G phones are not a requirement anytime in the next few years, so if the phone doesn't have that technology, 4G is sufficient.
I am a Tracphone user too. I buy the phones from HSN or TracPhone on ebay. The phones I buy cost around $80 and include one year of service (1500 min talk/1500 text/ 1.5 GB data)
TracPhone will be sold to Verizon. If you are on ATT network, look into how that will be handled.
Keep in ind you have 2 weeks to return a phone and cancel any contract.
