I would like to transfer the text messages on my Nokia 6.1 cell phone to my Google 6a cell phone. Does anyone know how to do that?

There is an app called Content Transfer that might do what you want. It appears it might be only for Verizon, I'm not sure.

Look into that and see if it works. Good luck!

This is what I use. It will backup to the cloud on schedule or on demand. Very easy to use and I am on Android. It will also do call logs if you wish.

SMS Backup & Restore

Google one does it now but I could not see a way to do a restore unless it's a new phone or after a factory reset.

I never had an issue upgrading from one Samsung phone to another in several years of using them (started with the Galaxy S4 and now using the Galaxy S20). All my information transfers very easily each time.

Samsung has their great Smart Switch app, but I don't know if it is available to run on other Android phones. It did the transfer from my old S10e to my new S22 reasonably quickly and without any manual intervention.
