Did you know that you can't make a collect call to a cell phone? Bob Sullivan of MSNBC.com tells us why, in the first of a regular series of one-question interviews.
That is the last thing I need! Who would ever even think to try that? I don't accept collect calls on my land line so I sure won't accept them on my cell phone!
Things may have changed since this happened to me but I did have a family member call me collect and I got the call on my cell. I forwarded my home phone to my cell when I was away from home. It was about 10 years ago and it was not a call from jail. When I answered the operator asked if I would accept a collect call from Deb and I said yes. It was billed to my home number. It was not a cheap call but in case of an emergency it would work if someone needed to call you collect.
