Considering that the service costs over $2/day whether you use it or not, I think I'd wait until they get the bugs ironed out. No point in paying for the privilege of being a beta tester.
Not necessarily a bug, but too many people connecting to the iTunes Store's servers and overloading the system. I believe there were people inline two days ahead of time waiting for the new iPhone. Just imagine all of these folks, plus millions downloading songs for their iPods?
I was able to register my older iPhones after upgrading the SW to 2.0 launch day afternoon (around 3pm EST 7.11). It was simply a server overload which only lasted a few hours. Absolutely not bad considering Apple released the device in 22 countries on the same day and sold over 1 million units within 3 days.
I havent had a single problem with mine, nor has my daughter. I just love my iPhone. I am having a good time just learning all the features, and watching videos on it. I used to have the razor phone, I didnt care for it much.
