RIM is looking to take a bite out of the iPhone as well. The BlackBerry Storm is a pretty strong competitor. It comes with 1 GB onboard memory and includes an 8 GB microSD. It also supports up to 16 GB, and RIM is currently testing it with 32 GB cards and will probably release a software update soon. More business friendly than the iPhone too.
I have tremendous respect for RIM, the Blackberry people.
But the new "Storm" model seems to be thier Edsel. It's gotten scathing reviews. Not merely bad reviews, but withering scorn. The "Storm" may be thier undoing.

It's sad...
Most of the reviews I've seen have been generally positive.
Wow nobody said anything about the iPhones battery.
You can't remove the battery. When the battery goes you have to send it in to Apple. Since you can't remove the battery it might burn out on you pretty quickly, making you have tons of charge cycles making it useless after maybe 1.5 years.
Touch screens are overrated. Sometimes it's a bit of a chore to make a phone call with a touch screen, especially in a stressful, hurry up, emergency situation. It needs either a better interface or a keypad.
Honestly none of the features are particularly great.
A Nokia N95 does everything an iPhone does only better, on many other networks (it can be bought unblocked, no need to be a slave to AT&T ) and without the ridiculous built in battery that's soldered in to the iPhones frame.
Hmmm...the battery of my boss' 3-year old iPhone is still going strong. The one he has is the bigger one with a stainless back, not the 3G. This guy is a hard-core PC user who swore to never own any Apple product. I am talking about a guy who builds his own computers from scratch. Then three years ago he comes to work and starts showing his new iPhone. Keep in mind that we use several work cell phones, including Blackberries (the company pays for these). Now he is talking about buying a Macbook Pro
Me? I just have the cheapest cell phone available (free), provided as a package from the local phone company, and am not interested in any of the ones in the reviews at this web site: http://cellphones.about.com/od/cellp...orstphones.htm
