I won't name the company nor the representative.. but this little story is probably why certain jobs should require common sense tests (or something) as a condition of employment.
Situation goes like this: My hubby had problems with the Internet on his phone, so we called the tech support. She had him try a few things that didn't work. The representative basically told me in short, "Well, I guess you don't know how to use your phones. Try learning how to read the manual." ((When it turns out, there's a problem on their end with his profile!))
At that point I hung up and was going to call the customer service to make a complaint when I had a chance. Then I got a peculiar text message with a *familiar* name on it. Hey! It was the tech representative! The message was a single word that was in all-caps and started with a "B."
.....To the cellphone whose service is provided by the company
she works for.
I had to contain my laughter as I called that one in. They got the text message from their system (since they're databased) and paperwork was filed. It was explained to me that I "should not have to worry about speaking to that representative again." I was also given a case number and a credit on my bill.
Thought I would share this humor with you. Because I find the incident to be quite funny.
