Hi everyone!
I wonder if anyone could help me at all. My problem's this: a friend of mine used my phone (put her sim card in it and everything), and when I got it back, the recent calls list and all the text messages were gone (at least 250 of them). My contacts are still there though. She only tried to make a call, she didn't erase anything. Everything was stored in the memory of the phone, contacts and messages.
It's a Motorola V3XX. I tried Phone Tools, but it's no use. I think the messages must still be in the memory somewhere, and if I could save all of it (system folders and everything), I might just be able to extract them.
Does anyone know a way? I'm really attached to my messages
Thanks in advance

they are gone..... Once you remove your sim card the phone no longer recognizes what was stored on it....... especially once you put someone elses into it....... they are gone for good...........

Let it be a lesson....... DON'T remove the sim card unless you don't care about all that stuff

You can. Buy yourself a $10 USB Sim Card Reader. Find the appropriate software to read the sim and you should be able to recover your data. Especially since the information wasn't truely deleted. It should be fairly easy. Good luck.

The data was stored in the phone memory, not on the sim. Since then, I've tried P2Ktools and Flash&Backup 3, and I've seen some fragments of my messages in all that binary nonsense, that's why I thought something could be done. Thanks, though.

Interesting. My cell is a RAZR too. When I decrypt my SIM, I find the same info that I find on my phone.

If you're crafty, you can install the drivers to make the razr be detected via usb like a mountable drive. You can browse the phone's folders. And there's probally computer forsenic software to discover deleted items. Might be an angle you'd like to pursue.
