I'm fixin' to dump my Treo 700wx.
Do you have an HTC Touch Pro?
With Sprint?

For business use more than multimedia capability, I am close to buying one for me, and one for the Mrs.

I chose this one because:

I got my hands on one briefly last night, and think I can work with it physically.
Reviews, including user reviews, are pretty good on CNet and a few other places.
I need the bigger keyboard for my bigger fingers for text and input.
Wanted MS Office Mobile for docs, contact sync, etc. It has 6.1.
WiFi, 3G, GPS, Opera and IE browsers.
More features unlocked vs. Verizon Touch Pro.
Sprint Family plan, 1500 minutes + unlimited data, text, etc., $129month.

It is a big step for me, after 13 years with AllTel, which is now Verizon.
But.... User reviews for phones are often polluted by trolls and fanboys.

Thanks for helpful thoughts you can share...

What exactly do you want to know?

I can tell you what I do with it.. email = yes (but not with the stupid 3d app.. it's neat but I can't figure out yet how to change emails.. I think you can do it with your thumb or something but I mainly use stylus)

Surfing = sure (new IE = not bad.. opera = pretty good as always.. no memory errors unlike my former mogul)

Stable = not for me.. got pissed after 1 or 2 lockups and went with a rom.. mighty rom seems stable for me..

Right now I'm communicating via it.. via tethering (travelling).. I highly enjoy registry tweaks for it such as.. Data only (stops that EVDO signal loss that happens sometimes.. forcing and keeping you in 1xx mode.. however you lose all phone calls/texts) Forced Roaming = verizon/alltel

Only con I can think off..
- Scratched my screen badly (more than normal scratches) doing a copy and paste or other operation all with my stylus.. (I heard the glass noise) it's a crack per say just a viewing (at right angle) in-pleasure.. that's the worst I have to say at this time..

What I will say is that the processor power and ram beat my mogul.. but I find the SD slot annoying compared to my old one.. and I did like the way some of my buttons worked on old smartphone vs. this one..

If you want super informed opinions I suggest howardforums.com or maybe ppcgeeks

Thanks for the links. Just looking for any reasoned input from real users.

I have been looking at CNet forums, and always wonder about fanboys and pumpers, and MS haters who really have no input.

I will look at the other two forums and see what they say, and again, thanks for the links.

Being an Alltel user myself and having that exact phone I will tell you this:

1) I love the phone. It does everything I need it to for my work. Emails/Excel etc. Works great!
2) Wait for the ability to purchase the Verizon phones come this fall. They have better phones

Yep, Verizon typically offers better phones and I am a 13 year Alltel customer. It seems they lock features more than Sprint, though.

Don't know if I can wait.
My Treo's instability and clumsiness are becoming harder to overlook.

The Sprint unlimited plan currently is very appealing, too.

Im a Sprint customer and currently have the Unlimited plan. Their new CEO has done wonders for Sprint. I was considering a switch to Verizon before he took over but now Im really happy with them.

I use BB and not Treo mainly for personnal reasons but I will say that Palms new phone with Sprint really does look appealling. If it wasnt for Blackberry messenger I would probably try it.
