well I have trouble in my house, but they say it is my house that is causing the interference. They have (AT&T) come out with a new "thing" they call the 3G microcell.

AT&T MicroCell -- Femtocel with 3G Data -- Coming soon | WMExperts

no idea if it will cost for the box, or if there will be a monthly rate, or if it will be free to people with issues, but it is suppose to help.

As for the rest, I just haven't had those troubles with my AT&T or my iPhone. Have you called them and seen what they could do for you? Or maybe Apple? You never know, maybe it's your phone and not the carrier.....

I actually tried a few other AT&T phones that others had in New York City. I called my wife on their phones and my Verizon phone. Verizon is an order of magnitude better. Without asking she could tell me which one was the Verizon phone.

CDMA goes thru walls better as well, AT&T's GSM network is like short range radio waves. They don't penetrate.

It's funny what people will go thru to hang onto their iPhone. There was a doctor in CA that wanted to buy a cell repeater just so he could get service in his house. I'll wait for the Pre .

Well, I do get service in my house it's just not 3G service. and as soon as I step out the door and a block away it is. I LOVE my iPhone because I can do so much more with it so much easier than I have with other phones.

So I guess I'm lucy where I am, no one has complained about it sounding bad, and I have no issues hearing anyone.

I have heard some people complain about service in some city areas, different areas, different carriers.

Bottom line is, you have to find what works best for you in your area.
