Hello all,
i just bought a 1st gen itouch 16GB on ebay and it was said to have "Fresh 3.0 installed".

i would like to know if there's anyway i can have bluetooth. I read online that if you upgrade to a 3.0, you can have bluetooth....but i'm not sure if that's true, and if it is, how can i check to 'make sure that i have the 3.0 installed' and/or how to activate the bluetooth....

please help!

It must have bluetooth hardware as well, not just a firmware version, I can't say if they do or not as I don't own one, but Apple's support forum would be a good place to start

The 2nd generation Ipod Touch has bluetooth, but not the first. When you plug it into your computer and run iTunes, it will indicate which version of the software is installed. The 2nd Generation iTouch had bluetooth hardware, but until the 3.0 software this only worked with Nike+. Now the 2nd gen ipod touch supports bluetooth, supposedly. The 1st generation touch doesn't have the hardware.

The first generation iPod touch doesn't have bluetooth, the second generation iPod touch does have bluetooth, also the third generation iPod touch is rumored to come out in early September.
