I'm eligible for an upgrade with Verizon. I would like a full qwerty keyboard-I really only use the phone for calls and texting-camera really don't care also internet, music etc.
I just want a dependable phone with a easy to use keyboard.

Anyone have opinions on the Samsung Rogue or LG enV Touch.

II and my wife have envy2 and like them. I like it for the phone being load enough to use and easy to use. My wife like the keyboard. The batteries last a long time. No complaints at all.I previously had a samsung and no complaints but the LG is a little nice heavier duty case IMO.

Thanks for your reply. My daughter just upgraded her env2. She had a lot of problems with it. But maybe she just had a bad one. She upgraded to the Touch and loves it.

I guess maybe I'll wait awhile for the price of the env3 to come down.

LG in my experience has been way ahead of samsung in overall quality and usability. My girlfriend has gone through a basketful of samsungs (I have no idea why she keeps getting them) My LG is still going strong after 4(?) years and while it is somewhat basic, I love it. All my friends who own LGs have always spoken highly of theirs as well. I wouldn't mind having a touch that is for sure..

J Arp Thanks for the info on Samsung. I'll stick with LG.

So far my daughter loves the touch. She used birthday money to pay the upgrade price.

I'll wait-there is no way I'm spending $199 on a phone!

Does anyone have the Rogue? It does have a full html web browser - I too am deciding between the too though the ENV touch seems more favorable here.

I was also curious about the Rogue. My daughter has the ENV touch- a little too complicated for me!
I think I will go Lg ENV 3 but will wait for the price to drop. I have Verizon and they have 24 hr deals on line. Yesterday they had the Touch for $80. Hopefully the 3 will come up soon with big discount.

Been doing a lot of research online and getting answers in similar vein - LG vs Samsung. I *would* really like to get a phone that will last 2 years of normal use -- that does not seem like it happens anymore - miss the cheap old Nokia that did nothing but get an awesome signal.

I miss my old Nokias as well.
They really seem to have dropped out of the U.S. market. You can still find their phones but they don't advertise much and they're typically on the low end of the scale.
I have caved in and decided to purchase a Nokia directly from the company. None of the U.S. carriers that I can tell offer their higher end phones, and even if they did I would be forced to pay for a stupid data plan...No thank you!
