I would not come to Sprint right now as they're completing a Network Overhaul to phase out Nextel and implement LTE and better 3G....They call it Network Vision, and this is Brutal as Towers are going out of service for the Overhaul leaving others to take the load and its really slowing things down Data wise, Voice I have no problems.
I would wait until I know Sprint is finished with the Overhaul in my area before I make the jump, otherwise you might be left with a very bad impression of Sprint's network. I know NYC is supposed to be finished by Dec.
