Hi. I'm sure i'm asking whats been asked a billion times. I might have a possible immediate job offer and I don't have time to research a lot so I need a little help... well a lot of help folks. I'm pretty low income, after all I am an artist. I'm used to toughing it. I came from a huge dangerous city and moved to Greenville. Greenville has been ok I like the scenery except I haven't been able to find a job. Out of the blue Charleston has come courting.

If I make the move I need a really really really cheap place to live. Apartments are probably out cause I have a lot of pets. I mean a lot. but they are good. I am renting now and they dont cause any problems. What I need Ideally is a small house rental, 2 beds,, no carpet needed, a shed, and fenced yard on a very very quiet safe street with as few neighbors as possible, but I will settle for the quiet safe street. I am also willing to live in a mobile home on private property granted it's not a mobile home park and has at least 2 bed rooms. I do not have to live in the city. I can live someplace rural with in a short driving distance 20-30-40 minutes away by car, as long as its calm peaceful and safe and quiet. Will also consider a townhouse if they will accept 100 pets. I feel a single family home environment is best.

My dream would 2-3 bedrooms, a large shed or garage for a workshop/studio or some kind of really really cheap loft. But on my possible income i'm sure thats just a dream at this point.

So some questions.
what are the surrounding areas of Charleston like? What nearby towns and what areas of the city should I avoid like the plague?
how is the public transportation?
how is the unemployment rate? is it high? increasing> decreasing?
What are the people like?
How are the schools?

Thank you so much!
