Greetings:
My wife and I are coping with the dreaded "middle age." We still have plenty of productive years ahead. Unfortunately, 50 is already visible and the retirement is looming on the far horizon. Over the last few years, we have been considering various long term retirement options. We live in Georgia and often visit Charleston and the surrounding beaches. After our last trip, we decided to look at the area a bit closer
Our next visit (a brief shopping outing) is planned for Labor Day weekend. I'm looking for a patient, knowledgeable, local, non-pushy real estate agent from an established agency with verifiable references. We are mostly interested in the peninsula and close surroundings. I'm not looking for an immediate buy (though for the right price and at a perfect location I most certainly can.) At this point, I would like an overview of available options in our price range, introduction to various neighborhoods, and a visit to a few representative properties.
I would greatly appreciate any recommendation especially from other members contemplating retiring in Charleston
Sincerely,
