I don't own a boat. I always wanted to spend some time on the water near Charleston Harbor and possibly indulge in my hobby - photography. This deal from LivingSocial (https://livingsocial.com/deals/27216...jp&rpi=7722505) for $199 ... 4 hours on a 48-foot yacht. Is it a good deal ? I just want some pros and cons about this deal. thanks //

That's a reasonable price. A fishing excursion on something of that size for a private party of up to four would run $250 or so for the group. However if they're taking a bunch of people out it's too much.

Its $199 for the whole boat (max passengers: 6). No strangers ... you pick the other five people you want to bring along ... or ... maybe go alone and have the whole boat to yourself

Sounds good to me, and it sounds good that he's limiting it to six people as it probably means he has a six pack license which means he's certified by the Coast Guard.

Unfortunately, unless you want to stay docked the whole time, the price quickly increases.... this is from the small print:

"Since the boat is docked for the party, the yacht is available to cruise at discounted rate of $125 per hour of engine run time; includes captain, crew and fuel charge but does not include gratuity; security deposit may be required"
