So I know its still a little ways out but when we move to SC in August what will be going on? If nobody knows specific events can you give us suggestions? Both for young 20's couples things and also family things for our 1 yr old. Thanks!!
Well just missed the Flowertown Festival, the Grits fest in St. George is coming up, then Railroad Days in Branchville, and the Shootzen fest in Erhardt....
Along with about a dozen or more in between all of those.....
I think we shoudl try and post up any events we can find out in the Charleston area. For young, old, festivals, food, events, etc... Also post dates, and a link for info.
Wife and I are going to attempt to go with the 6 month old. We have a ear protection we have been practicing with him. Not so much interested in the show but the static displays. Seen the thunderbirds enough and they will probalby be the loudest.
Great idea! This weekend is Pet Fest at the county park here in Mount Pleasant. We are very excited because we have been anxious to meet other Great Dane owners, and may be entering our pup in the Meet The Breed events, assuming the crowds don't freak him out. Next weekend James Island County Park (same website, just look for the events link) is hosting a Kayaking Festival that looks like tons of fun too.
My boys would probably like the Airshow more, but I've been missing Festivals every weekend since they started up because of basketball games or Drill Meets, so it's my turn, darn it! Lol
We went to the Lowcountry Cajun Festival this weekend, but there were about three times as many people as I am comfortable with per square foot. Can't argue with a festival that has beer and funnel cakes, though.
Awwww I hope there are more dog events! We have 2 American Eskimo mixes. Sounds like I'm missing a bunch if cool stuff! We will be there in August hopefully still a lot going on! Thanks for replying! !
In September they close the water park in North Charleston for the season, and then they have a dog day at the park. The info on that day is also on the page I linked above, under events. If you settle on the apartment you looked at last you will want to buy a Gold Pass to the park, since you will be right next door.
