My Baby Girl went missing April 1st in Cane Bay (Summerville) ... Both of my dogs escaped through an open fence door, we were able to find one of them in Sanctuary Cover. The other is STILL missing. I have a feeling that someone has her in their home as she's not an adventurer.
Below are some pics, if anyone has ANY info PLEASE contact me immediately. Her name is Tai, pronounced like TAYA, she's a HUGE part of our family and we NEED her back. She's a Miniature Pinscher about 8 lbs, can easily be mistaken for a Chiwawa.
Old Rice Retreat has sent out email blast but Sant Cove refuses to help us ... I know some members here live in that area so can you guys/gals PLEASE keep your eyes and ears open.
Below are very recent pics. She's the Black & Tan dog.
I am so sorry to hear that and I am not down there just left last wed. I hope you find your dog how precious. Were you allowed to put signs up on our side in Sanctuary Cove. Please keep us posted.
I"m hoping that she'll be back home with you soon! If I was down there I would definitely be helping you look for her. Please let us know when you find her. Hang in there.
I'm sure you have done this, but it's worth mentioning: did you call the Charleston Animal Society to see if someone found her and took her there? Another place to ask is the local veterinarian hospitals - people often take lost pets there to see if the vets recognize them and also sometimes post "Found" signs/ads/pics there. Also, run an ad in the paper and check the "Found Dog" ads.....you might also print up a large sign with her picture & info. on it and put in your front yard. I have found 2 dogs in the past and the first thing I did was look for "Lost Dog" signs on poles, rode around the closest neighborhoods to see if there was any sign of families looking for them, then I called the vets to see if someone had reported their dogs as lost. I ended up posting "Found Dogs" signs on posts and in the laundry mat as well as placed an ad in the News & Courier.....the owner saw my ad and came to pick up his dogs at my house. They had been gone for a week, but I only had them for 3 days.
Is she microchipped or did she have an ID collar on? These things will help find her. I wish you all the best in reuniting with Tai...my pets are also a big part of my family, so I know how you feel!
Don't give up as I'm sure Tai is wondering where you are too! Please keep us posted as to when you find her. Best of luck!
Hey Bob,
Make certain you lay one of your old jackets on the front and back porch. You would be surprised on how many pets come and stay at that spot because of your scent. At least give it a try.
