I will be going back for a second cruise at the end of May, 2011. What do you think about cruising in May? I know that is when the weather calms down from all the rain, etc. I want to avoid all bad weather. I was thinking about this becauseI'm going to Freeport and Nassau. You think I should be ok?
How are the cruises out of Charleston? I know they use some of the older ships out of this port, but is there a huge difference? We were thinking of taking one of the shorter cruises out of Charleston.
You would love porting out of Charleston. I went in Feb. 2011. I enjoyed everything about the cruise. Friendly staff on/off board. Very clean facilities all throughout the boat. You would love the whole experience. If you decide to port out of Charleston, let me know what you thought about it.
From what I have heard, after they got the cruise bug killed on the ship it is a really nice ship.....
They had a bout of illness for about three or four cruises so the canceled a couple and did a total top down disinfecting and haven't had a problem since.......
I am a Royal Carribean snob so I don't sail Carnival, I will hold out until they get RC or one of their other lines in here....
I just cruised out of Charleston on the Carnival Fantasy on 4/18. This is the oldest boat in the fleet, but it was very nice. We had a great time and not having to commute was a bonus. When we boarded, we got there about 2:30 and there was no traffic or crowd at all. They told us that the deluge started at 11:30 and was backed up all the way to the aquarium. Our ride drove us right in and dropped us off in minutes.
